Shooter Kills Christina Grimmie Of “The Voice” Outside Florida Concert

Christina Grimmie
Former star of The Voice, Christina Grimmie, was killed by a deranged fan at a concert in Florida on Friday night.

Christina Grimmie, who was 22, was shot several times by the fan who then turned the gun on himself and committed suicide.
Dlisted reports:
Christina was big on YouTube before making it to The Voice in 2014 and joining Adam Levine’steam. She made it all the way to 3rd place. Last night, she opened for the band Before You Exit at a show in Orlando, FL. While signing autographs in the lobby after the show at around 10, a man with two guns came up to her and opened fire. Christina’s brother then tackled the suspect but the suspect managed to shoot and kill himself.
TMZ is saying that the police have identified the killer and they plan to release his name later. The only thing we know right now is that he was 21 years old and also brought a hunting knife and 2 loaded magazines. There were no metal detectors at the venue Christina performed in. They’re also saying that, according to police, this isn’t a Selena situation. Christina didn’t personally know the killer. Even though they don’t have any evidence that the murderer contacted her on social media, it looks like he was a deranged fan who traveled from a different city to Orlando to kill her at her concert. They believe he thought he was going to get away with it, because they have some kind of evidence that shows he was planning to go back home.

One witness tells People that they heard many gun shots:
“I didn’t see the guy come up to her. My back was to her at that moment. But suddenly there was this sound. I at first thought it was some sort of firecracker, or even something with the microphones inside. It took me a minute to figure out what it was. I think there were like six or seven shots. At least that’s what it sounded like to me. I didn’t count them.”
Before it was announced that Christina died, Adam Levine left this for her:

And here’s a video taken of her performance last night before the shooting:
Rest in peace, Christina.
