What irked the BBC journalist was her claim that after the prayer, mufti Qawi touched her cheeks which was definitely cheap on the part of religious cleric.
Hani went on and maintained that the affiliates of slain model believed that mufti Qawi was somewhat involved in the brutal murder however, he himself refuted the allegations adding that Qawi claimed bagging support from bevy of scholars and preachers.
Unfurling the terrible experience of her with Qawi, Hani detailed that she went to Qawi’s residence in October to understand and record his stance on the murder of Qandeel Baloch but his inadequate conduct came as a surprise to her.
‘Whatever the intention of mufti Qawi was (for touching my cheeks) it was definitely irrational and vulgar ‘ Hani added.
The BBC journalist also reported her horrible experience to the investigative officer of Qandeel’s murder case Attiya Jaffery.
The investigative officer was of the view that it was not a case of honour killing because her brothers killed her after June 20.
Listen to what Hani had to say regarding her shocking episode:
It is relevant to mention that police has given clean chit to famous cleric Mufti Abdul Qawi clearing the air that he was not behind the murder of Qandeel Baloch who was strangled to death on July 23, last year.
